International Call from Mexico:

To make calls from Mexico to the US and Canada, you must first dial 011.
Some US long-distance phone companies have access numbers which can be dialed in order to use your phone card - calls are usually cheaper than direct-dialed calls from a hotel room.

To make calls from Mexico to the rest of the world, you must first dial 00, followed by the relevant country code and the telephone number.

Local call:

If you’re in Mexico City and want to make a local call, you must dial 8 digit numbers. To make a phone call to a mobile phone, dial 04455 before the 8 numbers. If you’re not in Mexico City you must dial 0155 before the 8 digits. To make an international call, dial the international number from your country followed by 52. GSM 1900 mobile networks cover most of the country.

Telephone Booth:

There are very few telephone booths that accept coins. Most of them accept only telephone cards. The card prices can vary: 20, 30 and 50 peso). If calling internationally from a phone booth, the official TelMex phone booths would charge the lowest fee. You can also dial an operator from a toll highway booth and ask for a charge call number.
