When you arrive
to Mexico City, you should verify the time. Since Mexico City
observes daylight saving time, you must bring forward one
hour every first Sunday of April at 2:00 am. In the winter,
the time is minus one hour on the last Sunday in October at
2:00 am.
As Sunday 26 October 2008 is the last Sunday of October,
be sure to adjust your time minus one hour so that you can
attend all sessions for the remainder of Congress on 26-28
October 2008 at the right time.
If you plan to travel in different parts
of Mexico before and after Congress, you must also adjust
your time as Mexico has three time zones. Most of the country
uses Central Standard Time (GMT-6). The Mexico states of Chihuahua,
Nayarit, Sonora, Sinaloa and Baja California Sur use Mountain
Standard Time (GMT-7) and Baja California Norte uses Pacific
Standard Time (GMT-8). State Sonora does not observe Daylight
Saving Time.
