Mexico City
is located on Mexico's high central plateau and because of
the high altitude (2320 meters above the sea) the city enjoys
a relatively mild climate all year. Summer and winter both
are generally mild. For clothing, it’s better to take
the lighter and more practical clothes with some coat or sweater,
since it tends to be cooler in the evenings and nights. Bring
comfortable shoes to walk. Don’t forget there’s
a rainy season during the months of June to November.
From June to November humidity’s
kept above 60% and it decreases from December to May. The
south of the city is more humid than the north. Throughout
the year (for the exception of December and January), air
quality in the metropolitan area of the city is satisfactory
in spite of some pollution. Afternoon rains come during the
summer months, June to September. Usually the rain lasts for
a few hours after which the sun comes out and the air is much
cleaner.
