About BPW Affiliates Projects

Business  and Professional Women Nakuru, Kenya (BPW Kenya) was established in Nakuru, Kenya, in 2010 as a non political and  non profit making club, meeting regularly at the Nakuru Rift Valley Sports Club.
In June 2011 the BPW Kenya  decided that their first major club project should be to set up a  Medical Camp weekend   to support an under-privileged Kenyan community. The club decided to provide a Medical camp in Central Baringo of the Rift Valley Province.  The purpose was to provide free medical screening,   pharmaceutical and dental care, wheel chairs,  as well as distributing food , shoes, mosquito nets and clothing to the local community.

BPW Zambia Flower: Sun Flower

The meaning:

The flower is being anchored in the bosom of the Mighty Victoria Falls, a Natural Wonder of the World.  Its natural nature of its kind is symbolizing the peace that you feel when you stand overlooking the Falls.  It’s a wonder in that no mankind can do any harm to it.  It is beyond imagination that all you feel is peace of mind.  BPW Zambia is trying to share that if this feeling can be shared by all members and in turn by the whole world, we can all live in harmony and make the difference to the world.

The Sun flower, is symbolizing the sunshine that characterizes the warmth of the people of Zambia and the wonderful weather,  when shared by all, it can have a ripple effect to the world warm people.

The spackle is the smiling and happy people of the members of BPW Zambia, whom by being members of BPW have the privilege and the opportunity of networking with a smile.
