PLAMINKOVA” Dear Members of the Parliament, BPW members, and distinguish guests, On behalf of business and professional women from 90 countries, I would like to express my sincere appreciation to Senate of the Czech Republic for deciding to place a memorial plaque to honor of SENATOR FRANTISKA F. PLAMINKOVA. Senator Frantiska Plaminkov was one of the most respectable International Vice president of our organization International Federation of Business and professional Woman for 12 years. She was the founding President of BPW Czechoslovakia in 1937. Her bravery to lead in the time of World War II was something to be remembered by everyone. While the war may have taken the life of this remarkable lady, but International Federation of Business and Professional Women. which she helped built, is her legacy. She once said: "Woman can render her best service to her family and to mankind only if she is free, if she is recognized as a human being who is privileged to carry out her own destiny." As the organization, known today as BPW International, carried on the work on human right, her words of wisdom shall always echo in the hearts of our members.
