BPW Chiang Mai recognized the impact of
Internet on business. So BPW Chiang Mai
was the project leader in offering training
business owner on how to use Internet and
E-Commerce to improve the viability of business.
This hand on training was conducted with
the helps from Institute to Raise National
Production, Center for SME, Kenan Institute
of Asia, and Net Ready company, are joinly
offer training business owner on how to
use Internet and E-Commerce to improve the
viability of business as well.
The Training
curriculum covers
(1) Introduction
to Internet
(2) E-mail
(3) E-Commerce
(4) Preparation to develop website and
(5) Develop website with Frontpage software
Objectives:
1. Improve the knowledge
and opportunities that Internet has to
offer
2. Improve the viability and competitiveness
of business.
3. Give advise on how to E-Commerce from
experts.
Target group:
The participants
for this training must
- Know a little bit
about the computer
- Never use the Internet
before
- Work at or own
business related to production industry.

Training Method:
Hand
on training, where one person has access
to 1 computer. Many teachers and teaching
assistants are there to answer questions
in this workshop.
Training:
The training was held
at Chiang Mai Physical Education College,
Chiang Mai province. Fifty local women partipated
in the training.

Results:
50 women participated
are characterized as follows:
- 11 with highschool
education
- 8 with two years
professional college degree
- 24 with bachelor
degree
- 7 with master degree
or above
Out of 50 women, 17
were at manager level, 23 were Team leaders,
and 10 were officers.
