Description:
In
order to prepare women in jail to re-integrate
into the society after they get release
from jail, they must be equipped with skills
that enable them to earn money legally.
For this purpose, BPW Kalasin takes part
in BPW Thailand “Returning
Good Women back to the Society”.
BPW Kalasin members, especially young BPW
Kalasin members, conducted the following
skill training for women inmates in Kalasin
Women Jail (Thantasathan Ying Kalasin).

BPW
Kalasin identified the trainers and covered
all the training cost and training materials
worth 25,000 Baht.
Objectives:
The
project aimed to help women inmates earn
extra income, even while they are in jail,
as Kalasin Women Jail can sell the merchandise
on their behalfs.
Results:
This
project helped 100 women.
Impact
over time:
Over
50% of the women now earn extra income from
the skills they earned, even though they
are still in jail – by having Kalasin
Women Jail sell them on their behalf.
