Nakornsri-Thammaraj chooses to support the
training of Thai massaging skill because
Thai Massaging services are now very popular
to both local Thai people and foreigners.
Thai Massaging can help relaxing the customers,
reducing their stress, reducing their pains
and put them in a good mood. This skill
is in great demand so it has high potential
to successfully enable the trainees to earn
extra income afterward.
Approach:
BPW
Nakornsri-Thammaraj in Thailand to help
subsidized Thai Massaging skill training,
offered by Thongsong hospital. This is a
372 hours training which offered the curriculum
certified by Ministry of Health.
BPW
Nakornsri-Thammaraj offered 50,000 Baht
support and BPW Thailand offered 20,000
Baht support to subsidize Thai Massaging
Training for 22 people (18 of which are
women) in the Class Number 21. This reduced
the fees that each trainee had to paid Thongsong
hospital down to only 2,000 Baht per person
(which is about US$50 per person).
In
order to pass the course, the trainee must
learn both the theory and the hand-on skill.
They must practice on at least 60 patients
before they can receive the certificate
from Ministry of Health.

Each
day, the theory were taught in the morning
and hand-on training were conducted in the
afternoon.
Results:
There
were 23 persons who received the training:
18 women and 5 men.
Out of these 23 persons:
- 19 (16 women 3
men) received the professional training
certificates from Ministry of Health.
- 11 (8 women 3
men) reported back that Thai Massaging
Skill help them build their new career
or earn extra income.

women receiving help = 18 women

Thai Massage service at Thongsong
district, Nakornsri-Thammaraj Province.
The clinic is open 7 days a week. |

works at Wannee Beauty shop as a beautician
and and foot massager. |

Suphaphorn
Suwadeepahn works as a beautician
and also offer Thai massaging service,
Foot Massaging service, Massaging
with Oil. |

Chancham ChuaKongka
earns extra income from Thai massaging
and foot massaging. Her regular work
is still at Kruathum restaurant. |

Prapatsorn Noi-sin,
who owns Moo Beauty shoup at Thumbon
Pakprak, Thongsong district Nakornsri-Thammaraj
Province, open the new Spa service
with include body massaging and foot
massaging. She reported to get a lot
more customers after she started to
offer massaging services. |

Amporn Jinawong
works as a massager at Health Center
in Thongsong, offers massaging service
to local community. |
7. |
Pornviraj Pansuk
works as a massager at SK Ancient
Thai Massaging in Phuket, with the
salary of 15,000 Baht per month. |

Rojana Thantiwaroon
works as a massager for improving
health. Also works as a foot massager
at 325 Moo 11 Naborn district, Nakornsri-Thammaraj
Province. |
