Description:

Thailand financial crisis has increase number of unemployment in Thailand, leading to social problems as well as economic problems. Many migrated to urban areas to make money. In order to enable the women in rural to be able to make money without having to leave their home town, BPW Roi-Ed has collaborated with Center of Adult Education at Sri Somdej District, House Wife groups, Lion Club and local authorities in Roi-Ed province to conduct training for 7 types of skills for 180 women.

  • Color-dyed silk from natural products
  • Making products from Karaboon (fragrant material that use for refresh the air)
  • Making products from plastic strings
  • Making products from silk cocoon
  • Making products from cotton fabric
  • Makring products from Herbs
  • Flag weaving

BPW also contributed 30,000 Baht to support this training.

Results:

Number of women getting direct help = 180 women

The training helped the women to earn extra income while they work from home.
