It happened
on February 27th,2008 at 9 o’clock,
in the city of Itu, Sao Paulo, the Project
"Itu for Life" which find the
international certification of record for
the Guinness Book, and also to promote the
ecological awareness to alleviate global
warming,and continued the focus and development
the project Tree is Life
In an integrated action,
the mayor of Itu, Herculano Castilho Passos
Junior, Yara Blochtein, chairperson of the
International Committee of the Environment
of BPW International Federation of Business
and Professional Women, with support Beatriz
Fett, president of the Federation of BPW-Brazil.
The technical support and
Dr. Sabetai Calderoni of the Brazil Environment
Institute, together we achieved the Greater
planting of the world 30.550 thousand trees
were planted in 43 minutes, in record time
and number of trees
The planting was carried
out with a specified choreography by (classical
dancing teacher Yara).
- Movements in search of concentration
and energy with their hands raised up
sky
- Movements of hands located in the heart
to arouse emotion and love
- Movement of arms to connect with the
Earth Mother Nature.
At half past nine exactly
was signalized the beginning of the planting.
The emotion excited the students in a huge
joy and the planting was realized during
only 43 minutes.
The planting consisted
in native species of trees of the Brazilian
flora and has been done in areas of the
municipality of ITU, such as Taboão
Stream and in the Quarter of Itu, by volunteers
from the local city.

The overall effort guides in search of
sustainable development, in other words,

The Project contributes in this direction,
using a systematic of actions, which the
essence is to promote sustainability on
the planet.
