On
the International Environment Day, RS Governor
Yeda Crusius planted trees launching the
project "Tree is Life" In the
Marinha do Brazil Park.

perpetuation PLANT A TREE
The
event was promoted by the Chair of the BPW-International
Environment Committee, Yara Blochtein, and
Ligia Barata Brasil, President of BPW Porto
Alegre.
The
Governor, in her speech, focused the importance
of this kind of action to encourage community
to start working the project: Tree Is Life.
"I’m happy to recognize the life
value of you, women, who have the organization
like BPW"
In
the ceremony participated members of BPW
Club .Beatriz Zanella Fett .President of
BPW Brasil made an excellent speech motivating
the participants. The Government representatives
like Beto Moesch (Environment Secretary),
Monica Leal (Culture Secretary), Maria Helena
Gonzalez (Women Secretary), Pedro Westphalen
(Science and Technology Secretary), Adalberto
Oliveira (State Security Intelligence Secretary),
the first lady of the city Isabela Fogaça
and also representatives of Environment
entities.
The
project Tree is Life event was composed
by the Army Mounted Cavalry and the Army
Band. The security was held by female police
officers

CONFAM 2006 Congress in Cuiabá- Brazil,
was launched the project" Tree Is Life
" Sueli Batista (Cuiaba B PW President),
Eliana Motta (Latin America member), with
the Chair committee environment BPW International
Yara Blochtein.
Official
the project was implanted. The main proposal
is that each BPW member plants a tree, with
this simple action, worldwide, we will have
a better quality of life.
The
local BPW team used their influences and
could arrange to plant 4000 trees and this
will be done by BPW members in order to
reforest and preserve the environment in
specific areas

The
