Objectives
WORKING SMART...BPW Geelong is mentoring
16 students from diverse backgrounds and
is "making a difference" in the
community. By implementing a strategy that
maximises electronic communication and all
resources efforts are leveraged and much
more is achieved within a shorter time.
Emails,attachments and the phone are complimented
by personal and group mentoring. This system
is very cost effective, wide reaching, speedy
and provides a hard copy of all activities.
Description
A 12 month JOURNEY OF EXPLORATION,DISCOVERY
PERSONAL GROWTH Focusing on Leadership,
Self Development, Confidence Building, Goalsetting
,Planning, Networking, Employability skills
and Social Justice. Students participate
in enterprising activities, BPW meetings
and a Workshop titled "A FOCUS on your
greatest asset YOU. The Candle Lighting
Ceremony was SPECIAL and MEMORABLE. .. As
Good will Ambassadors students lit candles
for the future and presented inspirational
Peace Messages.
Results
STUDENTS - To GROW,SHARE AND ENJOY the program
, embrace new opportunities. expand their
horizons and achieve rewarding goals. To
develop a folio of demonstrated abilities
and a PERSONAL PROFILE. MEMBERS - To experience
the satisfaction that comes from living
the BPW Aims, nurturing and developing future
YBPW'S and leaders...adding value to ourselves,
BPW and the community. Inspirational student
message: "Peace will only be brought
about if peace is found within ourselves"
