Gender stereotypes was the topic of a lively event organized with great success by BPW Cyprus in cooperation with the Cyprus  Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in Nicosia on October 21st 2010.

Our event was attended by the Minister of Justice who is also the President of the National Machinery for Women’s Rights and by a number of other government officials, members of Parliament, representatives of other Women’s Organizations and by a large number of members of our local BPW Associations.
Barbara Chiavarino, a consultant on gender issues and Leonidas Paschalides, a Eurochambers expert on women’s entrepreneurship, were the key-note speakers.
After their presentations there was an interesting discussion on the subject by the participants and the evening ended with an informal reception.


Congratulations to Rea Georgiou, has been appointed Accountant General of the Republic of Cyprus, a extremely prestigious and high position in the Government. BPW Cyprus is very proud of Rea who has also served as Treasurer on the Board of BPW Cyprus Federation and we tae delighted  to share this news with you.
