Yara Blochtein joined BPW Brazil in 1991.
In 1992 in the Global Forum in the E co’92 / RIO, has been an involved conceived the environmental project
In 1993 XXI IFBPW in Nagoya received honor mentions of the BPW I projects “Plant a Seed and Pick a Diamond”. Created the “Native Reserve” in 16.7 hectares area in Cruz Alta University.
In 2005 she was elected Chairperson of Standing of Environment and Sustainable Development Committee BPW-I.
In 2008 Member of the Standing Committee on Environment Sustainable Development & Water Taskforce BPW I Region: Latin America,and Vice Coordinator Regional Latin America.
Coordinators of environment BPW Brazil and at BPW Porto Alegre were she developed the project.

In 2006 Cuiaba/Brazil, during CONFAM National Congress, the project was launched our president Liz Benham planted the first tree with the support of the president, Sueli Batista planted 4.000thousands trees.
On the 10th of December 2007, in Barueri, SP - Brazil, the first mega planting of 18.886 trees in 23 minutes, a Guinness Book Record involved 6.500 people.
The goal was the forestation of degraded areas around the city and it was fully sponsored by the local government, private companies and volunteers.
On the 27th of February 2008, in the city of Itu, SP - Brazil was promoted the big planting of 30.550 trees in 43 minutes; involving 12.500 people. The action was fully sponsored by the local government, private companies and volunteers. As it became a successful project mobilizing people's attention nationwide.
In May 2008, United Nations NY at the “16th Session of the Commission on Sustainable Development”, project "TREE IS LIFE” at the workshop the panel titled “Mobilizing Communities for Reforestation and Water Protection”. The focus was cases of the project. Workshop was open by Isabella Blochtein 13 years old; she impacts the people with her speech.

In 2009 “Tree is Life” at the State Rio Grande do Sul BPW Porto Alegre achieved a notorious position the governments support established agreements with the associations of farmers, having its budget originating from the conversion of environment fines into seedlings.
"Tree is Life" has reached in 2009 to 2010 one year the 3 Million Trees Planted on the State /RS*Brazil
The goal, at this point, is to reforest the riparian forest around the waters, such rivers and estuary involving more 180 cities and 30thousands families. We intend to continue to mobilize communities to prevent global warming and ecological damages.
We continue to work hard and relationships’ with gubernators ministers and authorities to have our initiative as a national program (Tree is Life) Each Children in Brazil was planted “One Tree 44 Millions In 2011”.
