Who is Sujey Albert ?

Sujey Salas Albert is the current Finance Director of BPW International.  She was elected in 2008 at the BPW International Congress held in Mexico, and at 32 years of age, she holds the distinction of being the youngest Finance Director in the organization’s esteemed history.

Born in Lima Peru, she immigrated to the United States when she was seven years old and took an interest in math which eventually led her towards the accounting field. In high school she was chosen to participate in the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountant’s Career Opportunities in the Accounting Profession.  She was then accepted in to Hofstra University where she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.

While attending college, she accepted an intern position with Kenneth J. Herman, Inc, a multi-million dollar construction company in New York, where she quickly rose to the position of Bookkeeper and eventually Comptroller.  She joined as a member of BPW North Shore Club and is currently a member of EPW New York.

Sujey was married in 2002 to her loving and supportive husband Kevin and is the proud mother of two boys ages 1 and 3.  She is fluent in Spanish and English.
