Arlette Neyens joined BPW Bariloche (Province of Río Negro) since 1980. In 1987, she moved to Villa La Angostura where:
- Co-founder of Farm & Nursery School for boys and girls with no possibility of continuing high school. The school still exists.
a) Founded BPW Villa La Angostura in 2001. While being President of BPW VLA, she built its 600 square meters headquarters. Following BPW goals which are to train and promote women, she created two productive enterprises.
b) She created the school-factory of Ceramics where ceramic basic techniques are taught. The school is at stage of production.
c) She created the sewing workshop to meet needs of the community which is mainly touristic. Ceramics and sewing techniques previous to production are provided. - She is currently First Vice-President of BPW Argentina
At a personal level:
- She taught second and third levels
- She served as Director General of Culture in Rio Negro Province
- Delegate for Rio Negro to National Fund for Arts of Buenos Aires. Delegate for Rio Negro to the International Committee of Women (CIM) of the OAS.
- Tourism and Culture Provincial Delegate for Province of Neuquen.
- Author of several books including three volumes of the book Pioneers of the Andin Lakes; The Mapuche weaving; Between my father and I; Poetics Anthology of poet Dora Fornaciari (she is currently working on it).
- She founded the newspaper The Pioneer, of which she was director during 10 years (1992- 2002). She is still a free-lance journalist.
- For BPW VLA she created the series of Learning Handbooks “Institutional Strengthening “. Two handbooks are still being used: No 1 “How to build a project” and No 2 Basic rules to learn techniques of Speech”. She teaches these two courses free of charge to BPW members in Argentina.
