BPW International

A new year is a time for new beginnings.  As we begin 2012 with new hopes and aspirations, I look forward to working together on new commitments and on realising new and bigger BPW dreams.

As we know, many members have had overwhelming circumstances to deal with at home from natural disasters to violence and war.   I wish for them brighter days ahead and the strength to put those struggles behind them, as they must do, in order to move forward.
Let us appreciate and build on the many positive experiences that we have shared in 2011.
Our wonderful Congress in Helsinki brings so many smiles to our faces.  Preparations are now underway for our XXV111 Congress in beautiful Jeju, South Korea in May 2014.

I send my heartfelt wishes that the coming year will be  glorious, full of inspiration and one that will see your endeavours rewarded with success.  May every day of your new year be blessed with peace, love and joy.

BPW International 2nd Vice President, Membership Chair

Dear Members,

As we begin the new triennium, I am honoured to have been elected 2nd Vice President in Helsinki and excited to begin my new role as Membership Chair.  While it is a huge responsibility, it is something that is equally rewarding as well.  I believe that in BPW International, our strength is within our members.  

With your support, my goal is to work toward membership improvement and retention.  The new Regional Coordinators and I have already begun this task. There are new clubs being organized in all of the five regional as well as clubs and federations which are reorganizing and being reinstated into BPW International.  I will be working closely with the new Young BPW Chair to support and encourage the younger members who are our future.

We build on success so please share yours!  As communication is the key, I ask that you keep in touch with your Regional Coordinator to advise her of events you have planned for your federations and affiliate clubs as well as special projects with which you are involved.  I will support and attend as many events as my schedule allows and I am looking forward to meeting many of you over the next three years.

I encourage you to take full advantage of the benefits of membership. When logging on to the web site, why not join the BPW community?  Make sure that you and your club members are signed up for the “E-News” so that they can stay connected to International events and what is happening with our members around the world.  

It is important to bring BPW International closer to the members.  By showing the difference that our organization is making for women on an international level, I hope to inspire members to be able to share in these successes and to learn how to maximize participation at the local level.
