We have witnessed troubled times and heavy rain throughout the north and central provinces of Thailand that have led to the country’s worst flooding in almost 60 years. Our thoughts and prayers are with our members in BPW Thailand during this most troubling time.

Registration opened for the NGO CSW, NY, Consultation Day & NGO Reception. Please note that the deadline for registration is very tight: Friday, 25 November 2011.

Pre-registrations for the official UN CSW 56 have also opened. Due to ongoing renovations at the UN Headquarters and space limitations, BPW International will be limited to 20 CSW officially accredited attendees. more

I have recently returned from a most successful mission to Europe where I attended the Opening Session of the FAO's 60th Anniversary in Rome and was accompanied by BPW Turkey President, Arzu Ozyol. Meetings with members in Palermo, Rome and Athens were extremely successful before returning to Australia where I joined BPW Australia members at the Commonwealth Business Forum (CBF) held in conjunction with the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) in Perth, Western Australia.

The women of Africa have continued to inspire us. BPW Zambia has signed a memorandum of understanding with The African Women’s Development and Communication Network FEMNET to undertake a 35 day project on Economic Governance on a research carried out in 5 African countries. more

In a few days time I leave for Korea where I will be presenting at the Global CSR Conference and will be accompanied by Susan Jones, Regional Coordinator, Asia Pacific. We will travel together to meet with members in Seoul and then to Jeju for our first site inspection. At the request of Madam Annette Li, we will then travel to Taiwan to attend the BPW Taiwan Annual General Meeting and meet with members.

Everyone plays a role. Everyone contributes. Everyone is part of achieving the gender balance we want to see in the marketplace, workplace and community. Go BPW - the time is ours. The time is now!!!!
