Introduction

The first mentoring program for BPW Geelong was established in 1991. The initial aim of the mentoring program was to share experiences, skills and ideas with other women in the community; for women to help each other and to create a greater awareness of BPW in the Geelong business community. A “Time for Action” brochure was produced which listed the skills of members and was distributed to existing, new and potential members and also placed in local businesses.

Team members included Ninette Trifiletti, Immediate Past President Geelong, and Chair, BPWI Mentoring Taskforce, Olive Stonyer, Marilyn Bickerdike, BPW Geelong President; Micky Hayward; BPW Geelong Inaugural President; and Pat Miles, past BPW Victoria President.
