Carmen Ojeda current President has been
member of BPW Chile for many years .Born in the central
Valley city of Linares . I soon moved to the southern town
of Victoria where I spent her primary and secondary years
of education at Colegio Santa Cruz . After taking her secundary
exams Iwas admitted to Law School at University of Concepción.
During her university years she met her husband Humberto
Bravo . As lawyers rhey moved back to Victoria where I practiced
law for six years .looking for better professional horizons
I and my family moved further south to the Patagonian City
of Coyhaique , where joined the judiciary.
Iin 1988 she was appointed Notary Public
and Land Register Keeper of Chaitén and Palena (also
Patagonia) It was in this small village that she decided
to establish a BPW Association ,this association help and
coordinate the women ¨s potencial of the town. I was
the first president. With a wide knowledge of contract conveyance
and procedural Law I have specialized in Chilean Tax law
and Family law.
I have three daughters who also became
lawyers and a younger son who is studyng Architecture.

president Legislation Committee International.
I presided over BPW Chile Legislation Committee for three
years. During that time several seminars and conference
were held mainly focusing in the subject of Family Law Children¨s
Rights and Domestic Violence.
As a future task, there are plans to hold
a Latin American meeting on Comparative Law in order to
determine and analize the differences and similarities among
our Latin American legal systems regarding Domestic violence
and Child Labor Followed by the publication of the presentation
and finding . This publication could be issued on a monthly
or yearly basis and would be coordinated with the members
of Legislation Committee and the federation and association
members of BPW INTERNATIONAL
