Statement
I am a BPW member since 1988. For the past 20 years I wrote
my history in the institution.
I am courageous and I face the situations with optimism.
Today with former experiences as teacher. Lawyer and farmer
I can say that I have the maturity to make decisions at the
right moment.
In difficult situations my first action
is to look for the consensus giving equal possibility to all
members, respecting each one.
I believe that some verbs give sense to
our lives. The first one is to have that
focus to the determination; the second is to be
where the respect between persons is fundamental. The next
verb is to feel promoting balance and harmony,
and the last one is to belong to. To belong
to an organization as BPW means to participate and to make
part. Working to reach the goals.
To belong to an organization as BPW means
to have conscience that the members are the start and the
end of our work. They are the cells that form the organs;
the organs together make a system - the Institution.
BPW is the body that needs to know how the
organs are working; the organs need to know how are the cells,
the members.
It falls to the Executive Committee to know
in depth the reality of each organ (Federations and areas)
guiding without interfering directly. Looking for to take
the peace and the harmony for all.
We need to understand that an unhappy member
can take us to lose an Association or even a Federation. But
this member should be aware of our history, our roots, our
goals and our longings. She should know the institution and
knowledge that she intends to offer, as well as to know that
the institution waits of her as integral part.
BPW exists because a woman had the courage
of giving the first step and she knew how to be a "general"
aggregator.
BPW doesn't belong to me or you. We are
that belonged to her and in this interaction we won all. BPW
is the bond that unites the members.
I have a dream that can also be the dream
of many of you.
I want BPW to be able to say one day: War
doesn't "exist among the women of BPW" and this
way to say for extension: War doesn't "exist among the
women of the world". 78 years of existence should be
preserved. Difficult moments bring teachings that take us
to the knowledge and the growth. To win crises is to have
the courage face to face of saying the truth and being put
in our speaker's place.
BPW has a history, and qualified members.
She needs to know how to work to make better to live. |
