| To reform
the Friends program so that Friends status would alter in
accordance with the accumulated donations made by a friend
over the years.
This resolution will take effect immediately after
the XXVI BPW International Congress.
Currently Friends program classifies “Friends”
by the amount donated each year. So a diamond friend in one
year may become a regular friend in another year if she changes
her donation. The proposed reform would change this into classifying
Friends according to the cumulative amount of their donation
over the years. This would encourage friends to continue to
donate to gain higher status. Also, the total number of friends
will always grow as once a BPW member becomes a friend of
BPW International, she will always be a friend. This approach
was implemented successfully by BPW Korea.
IMPLEMENTATION:
Friends and Fellows taskforce should define
new status levels of Friends according to the new scheme and
propose for BPW International Executive Board’s approval;
classify existing friends according to new friends status
levels and give special recognition for those who achieve
a new level of Friend.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
The implementation should increase income
of BPW International. |
