BPW Mexico members are working long hours to make the XXVI Congress an unforgettable one. We know that we have an enormous challenge in front of us and we are facing it with a good team of focused, communicative and hardworking women.

Be sure that we will make our biggest effort for you to feel at home, as we say in Mexico "Mi casa es su casa" – my home is your home.

Mexico City (originally named Tenochtitlán) was founded in a small island on a Lake in 1325 by the Aztecs. In a short period of time, they adopted an agricultural farming system with canals. Some of which stretched almost 20 km from the outskirts of town to the center of the city! Their religion, commerce and military strength were the basis of their power. They built a strong empire that covered most part of Mexico’s central area (from the Gulf of Mexico to the Pacific and all the way to Guatemala). When the Spaniards arrived in Tenochtitlán in 1519, they were surprised to see such big metropolis, it was back then the biggest city in the world (over 500,000 people), and it is still with it's more than 25,000,000 people!

Nowadays you can still see the foundations of the most important Aztec temples, side by side with modern shopping centers, buildings from the 1800’s that are inspired by old France and churches from the colonial time of Mexico. Our food, our arts and crafts, our clothing is a result of the combination of the Aztec and European cultures.

Mexico City’s past is full of history, power, battles, temples and vivid culture. Now it offers world class hotels and restaurants, services and shopping areas that will make you feel welcome.

I am sure that if you come, you will enjoy our multicolored culture, our tasty food, our landscape and our world known warm hospitality.

We are working very hard to show you the best of Mexico!

Las esperamos!
We are waiting for you!
On vous attend!
Vi väntar pa er!
As esperamos!

Fabiola Kun
