This meeting offers a deep dive into the CSW66 Agreed Conclusion on the priority theme: Achieving gender equality and the empowerment of all women and girls in the context of climate change, environmental and disaster risk reduction policies and programmes.
In preparation for the Zero draft, the NGO CSW/NY Advocacy Research Group compiled six key recommendations for consideration and provided Member States with briefs to support them in their negotiations. This is an assessment of the CSW66 agreed conclusions given these recommendations, briefs and the advocacy strategy, which was driven based on consultations made with ten Member States. Hear from the NGO CSWs in the regions on their perspectives (what were the gains at this CSW from the advocacy efforts).
Format
The program offers: Analysis by the Advocacy Research Group Co-chairs, Experts and NGO CSWs in the regions for 60 minutes; followed by discussion groups.
