UNOG - UN Office Geneva

Housed at the Palais des Nations, the United Nations Office at Geneva (UNOG) serves as the representative office of the Secretary-General at Geneva. A focal point for multilateral diplomacy, UNOG services more than 10,000 meetings every year, making it one of the busiest conference centres in the world. With more than 1,600 staff, it is the biggest duty stations outside of United Nations headquarters in New York.

A key member of the United Nations family, UN Geneva facilitates the Organization’s work in the promotion of peace, development and human rights.

In the historic setting of the Palais des Nations, we work for a better future for all.

Over 10,000 meetings are hosted here every year, each in different ways touching the lives of people across the globe.

Whether it is promoting individual rights and empowerment, helping to build peace in fragile communities, advancing disarmament, non-proliferation and arms control, facilitating humanitarian action or building conditions for sustainable development, the discussions and decisions at the Palais des Nations make a difference in the lives of people everywhere.
