BPW Lebanon organized a charity luncheon in support of the Lebanese Civil Defense and to contribute to the Union’s fund at Hospital Maritime–Byblos, aimed at assisting cancer patients in need.
The event opened with remarks from President Carmen Zogheib, who expressed gratitude to attendees for their presence and generous support. She emphasized that humanitarian and health initiatives remain a cornerstone of the Federation’s mission, alongside its economic and professional activities at both local and international levels.
In her address, she also provided an overview of the International Federation of Business and Professional Women, founded in 1930 in Geneva and now active in over 130 countries, underscoring its global role in empowering women and strengthening their participation across sectors.
She further highlighted the important contribution of the Arab Business Women’s Council, led by H.H. Dr. Hissah Al Sabah, in fostering the establishment of business and professional women’s federations throughout the Arab region, encouraging collaboration and unified regional efforts.
The luncheon concluded with a presentation of key international and local projects implemented since the Federation’s establishment in 2014, along with the announcement of new initiatives planned for this year in the fields of development, agriculture, and education—demonstrating its continued commitment to serving society.
