The Gala also featured a significant moment of recognition: following unanimous approval by the International Executive, Harriet Farber Friedlander was named a BPW International Fellow - one of the organization’s highest honors.

Since 1947, just two years after the founding of the United Nations, BPW International has held consultative status with the UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC).
As the UNESCO reminds us, this is a day not only to celebrate girls’ achievements but to recognize the urgent need to amplify their voices, invest in their potential, and act boldly for their rights.
