Gertrude Mongella, the Past UN Under-Secretary and Special Envoy to the Secretary General of the UN Women’s Issues and Development at the BPW Africa Conference in Arusha Tanzania on the 25th of August 2022.
She started by expressing her appreciation for the growth of BPW in Tanzania. In her words, she said “I didn’t know in my life I could see BPW in Tanzania”. She views this as a big opportunity for women and also voiced her gratitude very clearly to the Conference 's main organiser Bertiller Masawe who established BPW in Tanzania.
She thanked her for her courage and wished her the energy to continue and to make sure that all the women in Tanzania know about BPW.
